Utilization plan for redevelopment of
"Alte Post", City Mücheln

The historic and substantially renovated building of the Old Post Office, next to the market place, is owned by the municipality Mücheln. For the old post an utilization plan was developed with the following objectives:

1. Revival and strengthening of the tourism site,
2. Merging the various tourism facilities in the city (mining cabinet, tourism information, local history museum)
3. Establishment of the proposed entrance gate to Geopark Triasland with permanent exhibition,
4. Presentation and representation of the various exhibitions at contemporary educational aspects,
5. Management of visitor flows between Marina and downtown.

Fundamental thematic approach of the concept is to show, how a unique cultural space was created by the interaction of natural resources in the region with human activity.
